There is only one true and living God. He is The Creator of the universe. He is shown in the unity of the “Godhead” (The Trinity), as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; who are equal in all divine perfection.

God the Father is the supreme ruler of the universe and directs the affairs of history to the purpose of His glory.
(Genesis 1; Psalm 19:1; Psalm 104; & Hebrews 1:1-3)

God the Son, Jesus, is the Savior of the world, and was born of the Virgin Mary. He declared His deity among men. He died on the cross as the only sacrifice for sin. He arose from the grave and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father. Today, He intercedes for us, believers, until He returns to rapture them from the world.

God the Holy Spirit is the manifest presence of God. The Holy Spirit teaches spiritual truths, convicts of sin, & indwells permanently in believers. The Holy Spirit confers on every believer, at conversion, the ability to render effective spiritual service.

The Holy Bible (from the Genesis to Revelation), is God’s Word to mankind. Scripture was written by divinely inspired men as they were moved by The Holy Spirit. Those men didn’t write their own words, or any words of a human; but words given to them by The Holy Spirit.

What Salvation is
Salvation is the gracious work of God, which is done by delivering undeserving sinners from their own sin and the consequences of that sin.
(Matthew 1:21 & Ephesians 2:8-9)

God declares righteousness to all who put faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and by doing this, He gives them freedom from condemnation. With this freedom, believers are given peace with God, and full assurance of future glorification.

How Salvation is obtained
Salvation is strictly based on the grace of God and has nothing to do with works.
(Ephesians 2:9 & Titus 3:5)

Anyone who asks for real forgiveness, true repentance, from God and in faith in Christ WILL be saved. Once you have obtained true Salvation through Christ, there is nothing that can take it away from you.

Provisions of Salvation
Jesus Christ died for the sins of the WHOLE world. Through His blood, atonement is made; this means everyone. NO ONE is left out. That means EVERYONE can be saved through Christ’s sacrifice, but it’s entirely up to that person. (John 1:29, 3:16 & 3:18; I Timothy 2:4-6; Hebrews 2:9; & I John 2:1 – 2)

What is The Church?
The Church is the Bride of Christ, those who have surrendered themselves to Him as Lord and Savior of their lives. The Church is not a building. The building is simply the location utilized for the gathering together of the local body of believers. These believers are united by the covenant, in belief of what God has revealed and in obedience to what He has commanded.

Who runs The Church?
We believe that Christ is the head of The Church, and the Bible is the only rule and guideline for practice.
(Isaiah 8:20; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18; & II Timothy 3:16-17)

Who makes the decisions?
The Church is led by the Senior Pastor (as elected by the people of the church) under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Church decisions are guided by parliamentary procedure.

Perpetuity of The Church.
During the ministry of Christ, He told The Church to continue her work until He returns.

Baptism
Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in a public declaration of his/her faith in Jesus Christ, and is required before a believer is able to join The Church and participate in The Lord’s Supper (Communion).

The Lord’s Supper
The Lord’s Supper is a sacred sharing of the unleavened bread of Communion and the cup of blessing (the fruit of the vine) by the assembled church. This is a remembrance of the sacrifice and blood Christ shed for us; This can only be issued by the authority of a New Testament Church.

Christ’s Return
Park Place Baptist Church believes Christ will return, in flesh, to receive the redeemed unto Himself, and there is nothing anyone can do to stop the return of Christ.

Resurrection
When Christ returns, all the dead will be resurrected.

Heaven
Heaven is the eternal home of the redeemed, and they will live in their glorified bodies in the presence of God forever.

Hell
Hell is a place of eternal punishment & suffering for Satan, his angels (demons), and the unredeemed.

Judgement
Before the eternal state, after Christ returns, everyone will be judged by God himself. People will receive rewards or punishment for all they have done while on earth.
