Life, what is life? For me it is studying, preaching, and then I must add fishing. I am not really into working in the yard as I did that for several years while I was in High School and the early years of college. I have found life to be something that is interesting; it has its good moments and then there are those moments that are not so good. James speaks about life and what he viewed as being the brevity of it. He writes in James 4:14, "14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone."

I have officiated at funeral services for people close to 100 years of age. Humanly that seems to be a long time, but when you lay those years beside eternity, they are very, very brief. Life is meant to be fulfilling and as we live life (as a child of God) we are to reflect the love of God, the compassion of Jesus in all we do and say. I encourage you to value life, live it well, live for the honor and glory of God.
